Laurel’s Picks of Places to Go – Tryline Sports Bar

Tryline Sports Bar
http://slurl.com/secondlife/Dublin%202/140/94/25/

Tryline Sports Bar, one of the many social locations in the Dublin Sims is the newest pub.  Decorated all in a sports theme down to the dance ball football (soccer ball) and billards table!  Many events held here weekends and weekdays alike!  Join the group list at the Blarney Stone to get notice of events in all of the Dublin sims.

Today the wonderful DJ Shayla Juran was here spinning her tunes and she always does such a fabulous job!  Hoooo!  Hostess Annutte Frankfurter provided a friendly atmosphere…pronouce her name as “A-Nut”.  No lag at all and the music stream never stopped, got to love that in a SL social hot spot! Dress has been casual on my visits and there are no couple dances available here so easy for a single to mingle in.  The crowd was super friendly and I recognized many faces from The Blarney Stone and Fibber Magees as well as some fresh ones mixed in.  Thank you DJ Shayla and Hostess Anutte for a great time!

Laurel’s Pick of Places to Go – Australian Native Flora Park

http://slurl.com/secondlife/Pondillion/226/176/23/

Looking for something exotic to add to your property landscaping, something well beyond the standard Linden trees?  Something that will make your neighbors ask, “Where did you get that?” How about some Australian plants or even a Kookaburra!  You can find it here!  Bonk Oh and his partner Cinni Latte have created a beautiful park for your shopping pleasure or for a nice walkabout.

I climbed the weathered wood ramp from the teleport point to discover this view of Ayer’s Rock above.  A bench here to rest a moment or use a pose ball to cuddle or kiss.  Continuing along the path takes you past more beautiful plants and the vendors to purchase them from.  You can even buy a Aussie Tshirt to wear home!  If you can’t find it here, you can request it.

Second Life Tip #3 – Inventory Control

If the numbers on your inventory are getting high, you have three choices to get that back under control.  1) Stop Shopping….like we can do that?  2) Go through your inventory when you have a moment to spare like waiting for a friend or while dancing at clubs. delete anything you think you might never use again like those thousands of freebies you picked up as a newbie.  3) You can box things up in a prim for storage.

How to do that is you hit the build button and click the ground somewhere you can build at like your land or at a sandbox.  Rez a cube prim.  Click the More>> button then You can name the Prim in the name field of the General Prim something like Extra Shoes. Now click the Content tab and add by drag and drop those files of extra shoes that you think you still want to keep yet don’t need often.  When done close the prim window and pick up the prim into your inventory using take on the pie menu.  Presto!  All boxed up!  Now to later remove the items, take the prim from your inventory and place it on the ground again. Open and copy back into inventory all the items or just click on the one item you need to copy back and you have the item back again.  You can also store textures in a prim like this or photos.

Store Update – Gold and Silver Hoop Earrings

LL Golden Hoop Earrings

Small update to the stores, Gold and Silver pairs of Hoop earrings have been added.  They are also available from SL Exchange or OnRez for 49L per pair.  No bling script in these just natural shine and low prim so they are a good choice to wear to higher lag environments.  A classic look that compliments both casual and formal wear. Enjoy! http://slurl.com/secondlife/Whitesand%20lands/195/250/302/
