Grats to Del and Frannie and Other News

My ex SL Husband Del and his new wife Frannie have recently married.  I wish them the best!  Yes, really I do…no sacarasm at all.  I was invited to the wedding actually but thought my presence might be distracting on their happy day. Thought it was best to feel good that I was invited but yet stay away. I had a wedding day with him, her turn now without me hanging around which might have been awkward for her.

I have about an hour left of my RL birthday left and missing Nitram so have a music video for him which follows featuring the gorgous voice of David Gates. Looks like a Great Lake in that illustration, dear.

Emotional Griefers

Emotional Griefers is what I call them, you might not have heard the term before but I’m sure you have run into them before.  “Griefer” is a term used in the on-line gaming world for someone who intentionally causes problems for others.  Emotional Griefers are to me people that for some reason known only to themselves like to create emotional pain for others any chance they get.  A friend of mine has a much simpler name for them…simply “Scum”, which is also quite accurate.

The same friend of mine quite recently left a position she loved in SL because an emotional griefer she was avoiding (which seems to be the best way to deal with them because they love attention even if it is negative) was hired misguidedly it seems at the club she was working at.  Unfortunate, but I guess once you have seen someone deliberately cause problems for others while falling back on a sympathy story when caught happen many times.  The best move is to stay away from them at all costs.  The people at that club will learn but learn the hard way it seems.

An emotional griefer seems to target someone or a couple that “seems too happy” in their mind and the higher the profile the more potential impact because then they can draw more people into it to take sides thus creating the most havok possible.  College Psychology classes would suggest to me that the griefer does this because they are unhappy in their own situation and somehow think if they could just put themselves in the other person’s position they could find the happiness that eludes themself.  So they systematically, try to ruin another person while trying to worm themselves into their position so to speak.  This particular griefer seems to have made breaking up other people’s partnerships a speciality.  After acheiving the goal, the griefer gets bored very quickly and moves on to the next target leaving behind the busted up remains of a partnership and friendships too.

If you observe an emotional griefer in action….a one time occurance could be considered a lapse in judgment…a mistake but serial episodes gives much less reason for sympathy and more reason for scorn and avoidance.  I think my friend made the best decision she could considering the circumstances.  She’s not one that likes high drama situations so leaving to let the next chapters play out without her would be best.

How to spot one without having to observe for awhile? They are the type of person that does anything they want without any concern for the feelings of others. They seem to be proud of that so will display something of that nature in their profiles. Something like “I’m with him and don’t care what others say or feel about it. *sweet smile* ” a kind of a “so what” statement that shows a general disregard for anyone that might be in their way. So many wonderful people in SL that we can choose to avoid those which just so happen to be the worst of what social atmospheres can offer.

It’s Been A Long Time

It’s been a long time I know but I think I should be back at least somewhat regularly now.  Nitram and I had our vacations. I got back from mine…his was longer and he came back to a family emergency that kept him away much longer than expected.  Such things do happen and I waited of course.  He’s still dealing with that so I have just been keeping busy and my time in SL is less at the moment but I do log on to see friends and think I might be around more often especially when Nitram returns.  Right now, what he needs to deal with has to come first.  Can’t wait to see him again but know it will be better if he’s not trying to squeeze time in for me while trying to cope with other issues too.

Live Music in Second Life – MrMulti Writer

Julianna met a Second Life Live Music performer tonight that she said was well worth a mention. After viewing this video, I thought so too. I’ll make a point of attending one of his concerts for some pictures and coverage of how he is live in avatar. MrMulti Writer aka Micheal Wells is a must hear if you enjoy the music of such talents as James Taylor, Cat Stevens/Yusef Islam or Gordon Lightfoot. He covers the singer/songwriters really well and has his own original tunes. You can see his schedule here http://www.google.com/calendar/embed?src=mr%40mrmulti.com&ctz=America/Los_Angeles  to find out where you might catch him next. You can find even more videos on You Tube by searching for MrMulti Writer. More after I catch him in concert myself.

Live Music in Second Life – Strummer Vultee

StrummerVClose

I caught Strummer Vultee tonight at the Gaslight at the Callidora sim tonight.  Strummer is a Second Life performer I go to see every chance I get.  Close up of him at the Gaslight above.  He plays a wide variety of music so no two performances are exactly the same.  You can check out his calendar of gigs here http://www.google.com/calendar/embed?src=jmkc5468beva6ipp2umg06tjms%40group.calendar.google.com&ctz=America/Los_Angeles  He plays his own original songs as well as some really well done covers by such artists as Neil Young, Traveling Wilberrys among many others.  Strummer plays the guitar, keyboards and harmonica.  His voice is clear, powerful and well mixed to be heard above his instruments make his music sound very professional.

Strummer Vultee Concert

Above is a picture I took of Strummer at a previous concert at another venue.  I’m a fan obviously.  *smiles*  You can find Strummer Vultee videos on You Tube for a listen.

Happy Birthday Grace!

PrincessGrace

This morning we celebrated the birthday of our daughter Princess Grace Adamski at Cruise -Aiders.  Best wishes to Grace on her special day!  Sir Nitram and I are so very proud of Grace.  Music was provided by the amazing DJ Kaele Rhiadra with her hostess Julianna who work together Saturdays at 3AM there.  The Princess was looking especially lovely, as you can see above.  That is Cleo John the morning manager at Cruise – Aiders in the picture’s background, she does a wonderful club with that club keeping everything running smoothly.  We always have such a good time there together.  Sir Nitram and I have many friends at Cruise – Aiders and it is our morning place to be when socializing.

I learned from Julianna that the DJ Boot Camp and Host Schools at Cruise -Aiders have re-opened to train Second Life residents to DJ and Host in those skills.  You can get more information on that from the boards above the hostess stand.  If you are seeking to make some Lindens and have fun while doing so it is a great opportunity to learn new Second Life skills!  The DJs and Hosts at Cruise – Aiders do such a great job that it must be a great place to start!

Exciting News!

Proposal

Yesterday was such an exciting day as Sir Nitram Bellios-Earl of Bellios did propose that I be his Second Life wife.  I said “YES” of course with no doubts what so ever on my part.  Thus begins our engagement and new partnership in Second Life.  We enjoyed a champagne celebration at Cruise-Aiders afterwards with an official announcement by the Captain of the boat, Captain Cope Kohime.

  CruisedanceNitram

Our adopted daughter the Princess Grace was with us on our special day bringing me a lovely bouquet of flowers that attracted a swarm of gorgous butterflies!  I was so surprised as I didn’t expect a proposal at all but it was a truely magical day as I danced with my new partner for the first time to the music of DJ Jacqui Beerbaum.  DJ Jacqui is one of our favorite DJs so it just helped complete the whle day for us.   My ring is really a work of art, shaped like a crown with no space left uncovered by glittering diamonds.  Show below against the back of Nitram’s neck as we danced.

Bellios Ring

Even tho I am now the future Lady Bellios, I now have the title of Lady Bellios that I so proudly wear.  Nitram has made me so very happy and I hope to return that back to him 100%.  I feel so truely blessed by Nitram and look forward to contining to share my Second Life with him.

A Visit from Oliver Twist

Rosa 3

This afternoon, I was relaxing on the patio while I worked in my graphics program and Rosa played with the toy ball Nitram had bought her.  She loves to hold the ball in her mouth and also bounce it against the side of the house to the find again.  I heard Rosa bark so switched windows to see just why, as she will bark if she sees someone closeby.  A young English lad was there on the patio looking at us.  An orphan I assume as he was dressed in a ripped tshirt and scruffed up tattered black leather pants.  Considering his pants were leather, I assumed he must have came from family of some means at one time.   The lost lad (his profile said 19) had been attracted to Nitram’s Union Jack flapping in the wind.  He was new he claimed (must have meant newly orphaned) and looking for others of his kind (his family mayhaps).

The lad was polite and apologized if he had startled me at all…yes I did jump then locked the door to the house so I didn’t have to eject anyone.  He didn’t try to enter the house tho.  I gave him a landmark to a place where some of his countrymen can be found,  a shirt, a pair of pants (both without holes and new) and a cookie that I had inventory as Rosa likes them for treats.  He inquired about the two flags at our home and I explained that Sir Nitram had put them up to cover our two nationalties..his British and mine American.  He asked when my husband (didn’t correct him for safety reasons as to we aren’t married) might be about….I said, “Oh could be anytime now.”  in case the lad was dangerous but instead he thanked me for being so generous and teleported away.

I do hope the poor orphan does find his family….perhaps someone in the London sim could be of more help than I was?
